Tottenham are keen to land Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz in the summer

Tottenham have not yet managed to replace Harry Kane ever since the legendary striker departed N17 in 2023. The Lilywhites are still in the hunt to sign a lethal goal-scorer that performs week-week out and helps the North London club compete against top teams next season. With Thomas Frank now in charge at Hotspur Way, Daniel Levy must bring in a new striker as the Dane likes to play number nines up top.

Last summer’s statement signing Dominic Solanke has endured a ‘stop-start’ first campaign at N17. The England international visibly struggled to get going during the initial months of last season and failed to replicate the form he showed at Bournemouth. But it is fair to say that the 27-year-old managed to make amends by playing a crucial role in the second half of the campaign as Spurs won the Europa League.

However, the same cannot be said about Solanke’s strike partner Richarlison. The Brazil international was side-lined for most parts of the season with a long-term injury, and he also fell down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou after his recovery. The 28-year-old has failed to make an impact at N17 and has never quite managed to become a consistent starter for the North London club.

Tottenham might fail to land Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz

There is a clear need to bring in a new striker that would keep Dominic Solanke on his toes next season and compete for a spot in the starting eleven. With Richarlison potentially heading for the exit doors, Daniel Levy must aim to bring in a quality replacement that would elevate the attacking ceiling at the club.

It was reported earlier that Spurs were interested in signing Rodrigo Muniz from Fulham in the summer. The Lilywhites are keen to add the Brazilian to their ranks, and are willing to test the waters for his signature. The aforementioned report also suggested that Muniz is also keen to test himself in a new environment and would not rule out a move to N17 as the North London club offers Champions League football.

However, Tottenham have now received a massive setback in their approach to sign the 24-year-old. As per Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas (via X) , Fulham have no intentions of losing Rodrigo Muniz in the summer. Marco Silva views the prolific striker as a crucial part of the team and the Cottagers are willing to fend off any potential suitors in the summer.

Fans will now hope that Daniel Levy shifts his focus on other alternatives as he looks to add a new striker to compete with Dominic Solanke. It was reported earlier that the Lilywhites are interested in signing OGC Nice forward Evann Guessand for next season. The prolific striker enjoyed a stellar individual campaign last season, and Spurs have taken notice of that.
