Tottenham have accelerated their pursuit of Alejandro Garnacho after Manchester United slashed their asking price

Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank remains keen on adding attacking reinforcements despite adding Mohammed Kudus to his roster.

Kudus, who arrived from West Ham, gave a glimpse of what he will bring to the club with his dazzling performance against Reading in the first pre-season friendly last weekend. After the Ghana international’s acquisition, Spurs want to beef up their attacking options for the forthcoming gruelling campaign, especially with Son Heung-min now available for sale. Richarlison’s future at the club also remains up in the air due to his inability to stay fit.

The North London club have been linked with a move for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho. The 21-year-old has fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim, and with Manchester United completing the signings of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, all signs point towards him leaving the club in the coming weeks.

There has been no shortage of interest in the Man United outcast. Aston Villa are interested in Alejandro Garnacho, while there have been links with Chelsea too. As per latest reports, the Red Devils have lowered their required transfer fee from £70 million to £40 million for the Argentina international, who was left out of United’s pre-season tour of the United States.

United slashing down Garnacho’s price has put Spurs on red alert. Now, according to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham have stepped up their interest in the player and are tempted to send United a formal offer.

The influential figures at Hotspur Way and Thomas Frank have been left ‘intrigued’ by the Argentine’s value and his zeal to stay in the Premier League and prove his worth after falling out with Ruben Amorim. The Mancunian giants’ determination to get the 21-year-old off their books ahead of the September 1 transfer deadline has led to discussions within the North London club over whether to make a swoop for the winger.

Frank has an excellent track record for developing attacking talent, having improved the likes of Ollie Watkins, Ivan Toney, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa. He will be confident of nurturing a prodigious talent like Garnacho if he joins, thanks to his fantastic man-management skills. The South American can play on both wings, and he would bring pace, unpredictability and flair to the Lilywhites’ side. He’d also join Frank’s forces with a point to prove, having being deemed not good enough by Amorim in his 3-4-2-1 system at United.

Signing a hot talent such as Garnacho would be a serious show of ambition from Tottenham. Now that the Red Devils have decided to reduce their academy graduate’s asking price, Daniel Levy must pounce on the opportunity to bring the Argentina international to N17.
