Tottenham Hotspur have been urged to make a move for the Liverpool attacker Harvey Elliott during the summer transfer window.
Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara believes that the 22-year-old could be a very useful acquisition for the north London club. He is capable of operating in multiple attacking roles, and his versatility will be a bonus.
O’Hara further likened the Liverpool midfielder to Dejan Kulusevski, and he believes that both players are of a similar mould.
He said on talkSPORT: “I would have him at Tottenham, 100 per cent.
“He would play on the right and compete with Brennan Johnson. Kulusevski is quite a similar player to him, but I think Harvey Elliott has something about him. He can play as a number 10, he can play in different areas, he can play in midfield.
“I like Harvey Elliott. There’s a lot to like.”
Elliott needs more gametime at this stage of his career, and Liverpool have not been able to provide him with those opportunities. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to make a move for him in the coming weeks.
There is no doubt that he is a talented player with a bright future. He has shown his ability at Liverpool during the cameo, and he is certainly good enough to start regularly for a top Premier League club.
The opportunity to join Tottenham could be exciting for him. They are among the biggest clubs in the country, and they will be able to offer him Champions League football. If they can provide him with gametime assurances, it should not be difficult for them to convince the player.
He is capable of slotting into the wide areas as well as centrally. He will help create opportunities for his teammates and in with goals as well.
The Liverpool attacker has won major trophies in recent years, and his winning experience could prove to be an invaluable addition to the Tottenham dressing room as well.
