Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Brighton attacker Yankuba Minteh during the summer transfer window.

According to a report from Fichajes, they are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old attacker, and they will face competition from clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United as well.

Minteh has done well for Brighton this past season, and he has the ability to play for the biggest in the country. He could prove to be a quality long-term investment for Tottenham. They need more creativity and goals in the final third, and the 20-year-old will certainly help them improve.

The Gambian scored seven goals and picked up five assists for Brighton in all competitions. Tottenham have been linked with players like Eberechi Eze and Leroy Sane as well.

The opportunity to join Tottenham will be quite exciting for the youngster. It would be a major step in his career, and he would get to compete in the UEFA Champions League with them next season.

Minteh is a prodigious talent

Minteh is valued at €35 million, and the asking price is reasonable for a player with his potential. He could justify the investment in future.

The player is highly rated across Europe, and Liverpool manager Arne Slot has previously heaped praise on him during their time together at Feyenoord.

Slot said: “He certainly doesn’t lack self-confidence. His willingness to give everything is enormous. When we see his statistics, it is really impressive. Minteh ran more sprint meters against Ajax in an hour than many players in the two games. He is incredibly fast. And he wants it so badly.”

Yankuba Minteh is in demand

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get the deal done. If Liverpool and Manchester United come calling in the summer, it could be difficult for the Londoners. Minteh’s connection with Slot could play a key role in the Premier League champions convincing him to join them instead.

As far as Manchester United are concerned, they have more financial resources, even though they will not be able to offer him European football.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops. The 20-year-old needs to join a club where he will play regularly. He will want to join an ambitious team, and Tottenham could be an attractive destination for him.
