Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Tottenham are monitoring his situation and they are plotting a summer move for the 25-year-old. He is likely to cost around £30 million, and Tottenham will face competition from Manchester United.

Tottenham tried to sign him in January as well. They are long-term admirers of the midfielder.

Tottenham need more quality in the midfield

Tottenham need more depth and quality in the middle of the park, and the Italian could be the ideal acquisition for them. He will add drive and creativity to the side. The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be exciting for him, especially if Tottenham can provide him with regular gametime.

The player is entering the peak years of his career, and he needs to start every week. Tottenham might be able to provide him with that opportunity. It remains to be seen whether they come forward with an offer to get the deal done. They have the resources to pay the asking price, and the deal could look like a reasonable one in the coming seasons.

Davide Frattesi would improve them

The 25-year-old has the physical and technical attributes to do well in English football, and he will look to establish himself as a key player for the north London club.

He is highly rated in Italy, and he has been previously labelled as “one of the best” players in the league.

The midfielder was a squad player for Inter Milan last season, but he still managed to score 7 goals in all competitions. He could improve further with regular gametime. Tottenham need more creativity and goals from the middle of the park, and the Italian certainly fits the profile.

Tottenham have secured Champions League football, and they will be an attractive destination for the Italian. The asking price is quite reasonable, and the north London club should look to get the deal done.
