Parma have agreed a deal with Inter Milan to hijack Cagliari’s move to sign Nerazzurri striker Sebastiano Esposito.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, via his homepage.
It has always seemed clear that the Italy Under-21 international would leave Inter for good this summer.
Esposito has gone out on a string of loan moves. Last season he was on loan at Empoli.
But this summer, Inter are keen to sell Esposito outright once and for all.
A few clubs in Serie A have shown an interest in Esposito’s signature. Fiorentina have been sounding out a deal for the 23-year-old for a number of weeks.
However, two clubs have been pushing to sign Esposito in the last few days.
Cagliari have been in talks with Inter this week. They’re pushing to finally wrap up a deal for Esposito.
However, earlier this week Parma also began talks after Cagliari’s deal hit a couple snags.
In the past couple of days, the two clubs have engaged in a constant back-and-forth to try and finalize a deal to sign Esposito.
Cagliari had looked to have the upper hand. However, now Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Parma have reached a full agreement with Inter.
