Two Chelsea players have made the Sofascore Premier League Team of the Week after beating Liverpool on Saturday.
The Blues battled hard to get the win against Liverpool at the weekend and although it could have gone either way in the end, I think Chelsea deserved the win overall.
Moises Caicedo was the Chelsea engine as always and he was colossal against Liverpool. The five tackles he made in the game do not show the full story of just how good he was either.
And Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker were very impressed with the performance of Josh Acheampong as the back for Chelsea, with the youngster getting a glowing review from the pair in the aftermath of the game.
There were a number of Chelsea players who could have made any Team of the Week this week after some fine performances and show of real desire.
But just two of them made stat-based website Sofascore’s Team of the Week after the latest round of Premier League matches.
As you can see from the image above, both Marc Cucurella and Moises Caicedo make the Team of the Week.
Caicedo as I said above, was just incredible. And Cucurella was also very good and managed to keep a lock on Mo Salah which is not easy task.
On a side note away from Chelsea, it’s not for me to see Jack Grealish shining again and enjoying his football. As an England fan, he is a player I’ve always really liked and rated, and I thought it was a shame to see him being wasted at Manchester City.
So I’m pleased to see him get some recognition in this TOTW as well.
