AC Milan are expected to let both Marco Pellegrino and Davide Bartesaghi leave the club before the end of the January transfer window so that they can play more regularly, a report claims.

As has been written by Corriere dello Sport (via Pianeta Milan), both Pellegrino and Bartesaghi are getting very little in the way of meaningful action this season and that will only worsen when Milan bring a new defender in and when injured players get back to full fitness.

Neither player is expected to be sold on a permanent deal, but loan deals until the end of the season are being worked on for the youngsters.

Pellegrino has just returned to fitness and there have been talks with Hellas Verona and Anderlecht about a potential loan. La Liga sides Cadiz and Rayo Vallecano have also shown interest in the 2002-born player.

Bartesaghi currently seems more likely to head to Frosinone than anywhere else, but the 2005-born defender is also attracting interest from Swiss side Lausanne. They are making the most of the Italian loan market, having also signed Simone Pafundi from Udinese.

Milan seem confident enough in their ability to sign a new centre-back in the final days of the transfer window.
