Tyrick Mitchell offered to club

Tyrick Mitchell has emerged as one of Manchester United’s transfer options in recent weeks with reports suggesting that the full-back was on the club’s shortlist.

The 27-year-old came through Crystal Palace’s academy before breaking into the first team in the 2019/20 season.

Since that point, Mitchell has become a mainstay in Palace’s line-up although the possibility of that continuing into the future currently appears uncertain.

Manchester United are circling and are not the only side to do so with Juventus also interested.

It is important to consider that Mitchell is on United’s shortlist and is not the only left-back on that list either with Lewis Hall there too.

Whilst both players offer differing skillsets, they do have Premier League experience and have played in European competitions before.

United’s strategy of recruiting experienced individuals who can benefit the club in the short-term but also finding a profile of player that still has room to grow is clear, though.

Where Manchester United move next is unclear but, with a clear strategy in mind, the club are clearly beginning to put the steps in place to sign someone capable of delivering success.

It is now about finding the correct profile of player to sign, negotiating in that deal, and ensuring that the left-back that is signed can be useful for Michael Carrick in his vision.
