UEFA Champions League Matchday 4 Predictions Including Chelsea vs Qarabag

Chelsea will take the long trip to Azerbaijan for matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League, league phase for 25-26. We have predictions for every Champions League match, including matches featuring Manchester City and Newcastle.

Chelsea at Qarabag

Chelsea scored an impressive win over Tottenham on the weekend and now have five wins from six matches. The side are playing quality football and will look to show off against a Qarabag side that has stunningly secured two out of three wins in the Champions League. Playing at home, Qarabag will play fearless football against a much more expensive Chelsea team.

Leandro Andrade, the Cape Verde international, may be the best player on Qarabag right now. Chelsea are missing some first-choice players including Cole Palmer, but Joao Pedro is set to return and he knows how to find the back of the net. Estevao also lurks as possible starter. Qarabag will keep this interesting, but Chelsea are still a classy club. Prediction: Chelsea 3 Qarabag 1

Bayer Leverkusen at Benfica

Both teams need to win if they plan to reach the knockout phase. Benfica have three consecutive domestic wins despite being winless in the UCL, Leverkusen are 2-0-2 in their last four matches. Leverkusen were crushed by Bayern Munich on the weekend.

Leverkusen is set to miss up to half their best XI, with Robert Andrich the captain and Lucas Vasquez among the players missing. With Richard Rios and Benfica showing signs of improvement, a home win feels suitable, Leverkusen’s retooled squad is a bit limited. Prediction: Benfica 2 Bayer Leverkusen 0

Atalanta at Marseille

Having started well in Ligue 1 (but just 1-1-2 in their last four games), Marseille boast an impressive squad. Atalanta has five draws and a loss in six games. Marseille are a very good team at home, while Atalanta are mid-table in Serie A. Igor Paixao remains a key player along with Mason Greenwood for Marseille. Atalanta is set to return Marten de Roon the captain to the lineup. Atalanta have struggled to score goals lately, at home, Marseille won’t make the same error. Prediction: Marseille 2 Atalanta 0

FC Barcelona at Club Brugge

Defeats against PSG (UCL) and Real Madrid (La Liga) have dimmed expectations around Barcelona’s level, but they still have three wins in their last four and tend to feast on sides that don’t have elite talent. Traveling to Belgium, they face a Brugge side in their best form, with five wins from six matches.

Barcelona will be looking forward to the rest period of the international break, but first they are looking for three points. Robert Lewandowski is back for Barca. Christos Tzolis is the main threat for Brugge and could easily seal a move to a big club next season at age 23. He appeared 27 times for Norwich City previously.

Without Gavi, Pedri , and Raphinha, this Barcelona side lacks a certain quality and control, however Marcus Rashford has in some ways carried the attack and has been a valuable loanee. Barcelona are the better club, but Brugge can complicate this. Prediction: Barcelona 1 Brugge 0
