Real Madrid's decision to part ways with Xabi Alonso has sparked a range of mixed reactions online among fans.

A fan who was very vocal about the situation is the UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov. Along with many other fans, Khbaib defended Xabi Alonso and called out the Real Madrid players, who reportedly had a fallout with the manager.

Khabib took to Instagram to express his thoughts, writing a message for Xabi Alonso while reposting a photo of Alonso winning the Bundesliga title with Bayer Leverkusen in 2024.

Khbaib wrote, "There is nothing like loyalty. 1 year ago, they begged him; now they fired him because of spoiled kids. Xabi, you are the best."

Khabib continued to praise Xabi Alonso on his Instagram story, but he was also vocal about the players, hinting that they are the problem and not the managers at Real Madrid.

Khabib Nurmagomedov on Real Madrid Players

Among the Real Madrid players that has been criticized over the past few days about their behavior under Xabi Alonso is Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe caused controversy when he was seen not willing to be part of a guard of honor for the FC Barcelona players after Xabi Alonso insisted that his players do it.

Khabib Nurmagomedov did not call out Mbappe but did call out all the players that has been rumored to have an opposition to the manager during this season.

Nurmagomedov wrote, "I think Alonso is one of the top three coaches of today. If this team didn't work with him, we need to change the players, not the coach. I'm just sure that no coach can handle this line-up. Real Madrid needs to get rid of the capricious players."

He defended the importance of a coach in any sport and said, "If you come to the gym or on the field, it doesn't matter whether it's fighters or football players, as a head coach, you rule. But if you have such an aura in your team that not everyone meets your requirements, then you are definitely not on the way."
