The USMNT head coach, Mauricio Pochettino, is arguably in his best moments with Team USA, and with just eight months away from the 2026 World Cup, the fans will hope the team can continue to impress.
With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, Pochettino is now linked to a move to club football. This is not the first time Pochettino has been linked to coaching a club while being the USMNT head coach.
Earlier in the summer, Pochettino was rumored to return to Tottenham Hotspur to replace Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs picked Thomas Frank to replace Postecoglou in the summer, and many did not expect Pochettino to leave the USMNT ahead of the World Cup.
That remains to be the case as the USMNT are unbeaten after playing three national teams that will be in the World Cup: Japan, Ecuador, and Australia.
According to TalkSport, Nottingham Forest are close to sacking Ange Postecoglou, and it all depends on the Premier League game against Chelsea tomorrow at The City Ground.
Nottingham Forest are winless under Postecoglou after seven games since his appointment. Postecoglou's record as Nottingham Forest manager is two draws and five losses. Forest are 17th in the league with five points after seven matches played.
TalkSport reports that Nottingham Forest used the October international break to look at other options and one of them was the USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino is highly unlikely to take the job. Other names in contention to potentially replace Postecoglou according to the report, are Sean Dyche, Marco Silva, and Brendan Rodgers.
