Jeremy Hall will lead the next generation of USMNT youngsters as head coach of the U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team.
The former USMNT youth player was installed as the full-time head coach of the Under-18s on Wednesday. Hall was a member of the U.S. team at the 2005 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
He debuted in Major League Soccer with Red Bull New York in 2009 after winning the 2009 NCAA Division I Championship at the University of Maryland.
"I am incredibly grateful to join U.S. Soccer as the U-18 Men’s National Team head coach,” Hall said. "Having represented the U.S. during my own youth career, I am honored to contribute to the development of the players during these formative years. My own youth experience was filled with pride, and my goal is to help facilitate a positive and productive environment for these players to grow in their own journeys. I am excited to learn alongside this staff, and for the opportunity to evolve within a high-performance environment."
The 37-year-old played across several MLS clubs in addition to the Red Bulls, including the Portland Timbers, FC Dallas, Toronto FC and the New England Revolution. He made seven international appearances for Puerto Rico's national team.
"We are excited to welcome Jeremy to the Youth National Teams as our U-18 Men’s National Team head coach," said Barry Pauwels, head of development for the U.S. men’s youth national Teams. "Through an extensive evaluation process, Jeremy stood out for his strong cultural fit, thoughtful leadership approach and clear commitment to long-term player development. As a high-potential coach, he brings valuable experience and a development mindset—qualities we believe will greatly benefit our young players and the future of the program."
Hall most recently served as head coach of Minnesota United FC 2 of MLS NEXT Pro. He guided the reserve team to its first-ever playoff appearance in 2025.
The United States is in the process of hiring a head coach for the Under-23/21 men's national team, and according to U.S. Soccer, the position is expected to be filled in the near future.
