USMNT's Gio Reyna becomes second-youngest American to score Bundesliga goal

United States Men's National Team star Giovanni Reyna finally has accomplished one of his most sought after goals — score a Bundesliga goal.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder scored his first-ever Bundesliga goal against Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday, becoming the second-youngest American to score a goal in the German professional league at 17 years and 311 days old.

The son of USMNT legend Claudio Reyna gave Dortmund a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute in front of a socially distanced home crowd at Signal Iduna Park.

Reyna's goal marks his second in as many games. He scored in a DFB Pokal matchup last Monday.

Reyna's USMNT teammate, Christian Pulisic, who also played for Dortmund when he was 17, is the youngest American to ever score a Bundesliga goal at 17 years and 211 days in 2016.
