Former United States women's national team icon Alex Morgan's latest venture is her investment in women's professional golf.

Her firm, Trybe Ventures, was announced as the lead capital investor in WTGL, a new team competition indoor golf league developed in partnership with TMRW Sports and the LPGA. Former USWNT stars Mia Hamm and Abby Wambach are part of Trybe's investment group.

The new league will feature fast-paced matches and teams made up of familiar LPGA stars. Matches will take place from the custom-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

"I’m so proud to bring this amazing group of women together to support and accelerate the growth of women’s golf," Morgan said. "We all love the game and look forward to working together with TMRW Sports and the LPGA to build this innovative new property to showcase the best players in the world.

"WTGL will create a global stage for us to get to know the stars of the LPGA in an exciting new way, and we cannot wait to tell their stories."

LPGA commissioner Craig Kessler believes that the new league will be innovative and create greater interest in the sport.

"Partnering with TMRW Sports on WTGL reflects our belief that innovation can help the game reach new fans and create greater visibility for LPGA athletes," Kessler said. "I’ve seen how new formats can engage audiences while showcasing both athlete personality and performance, and WTGL brings that spirit of innovation to the women’s game. It creates another global stage for our athletes—one that helps fans connect more deeply with them and continues to elevate the visibility and growth of women’s golf."

The inaugural WTGL season will take place across the winter of 2026/27. Additional details about the league will be announced over the next several months.
