Valencia eyes move for struggling Arsenal winger
USA TODAY Sports via Reuters Connect

Reiss Nelson is expected to leave Arsenal once again this summer following another difficult loan spell away from the club, with Valencia reportedly interested in signing the winger.

Nelson has struggled to establish himself as a regular first-team player since making his Arsenal debut in 2017 and has spent much of the past few seasons away from the club on loan.

Injuries have disrupted his progress, and his most recent spell at Brentford failed to provide the opportunities he needed. Limited playing time meant he was unable to make a significant impression, leaving Arsenal unconvinced that he should be given another chance in the first team.

Valencia Show Interest

Although Nelson has returned to training with Arsenal ahead of the new season, his future is expected to lie away from the Emirates Stadium.

According to Fichajes, Valencia have added the winger to their list of transfer targets as they look to strengthen their squad during the current transfer window.

The Spanish club are searching for players capable of improving their attacking options and believe Nelson has the qualities to make a positive impact if he is given regular opportunities.

Arsenal Open To Departure

Arsenal are willing to part ways with the winger as they continue reshaping their squad ahead of the new campaign.

While a permanent transfer would be their preferred outcome, the Gunners are also expected to consider a loan offer if that represents the best available option.

A temporary move could provide Nelson with the chance to rebuild his career through consistent playing time while increasing the possibility of securing a permanent transfer in the future. For Arsenal, allowing him to leave would create space within the squad as the club continues their recruitment plans during the transfer window.
