Hellas Verona remain very active on the transfer market, as after Armel Bella-Kotchap from Southampton, they officially signed TSG Hoffenheim striker Gift Orban.

The agreement is in the form of a loan with option to buy at the end of the season.

According to Sportitalia, the fee is €0.5m for the one-season loan and the option to make it permanent is worth another €8m.

Orban a new addition to Verona squad

The Nigerian centre-forward turned 23 in July and is already well travelled in European football, going through Norwegians Stabaek, Belgians KAA Gent and French giants Olympique Lyonnais.

He was sold to Hoffenheim in Germany for €9m in January 2025 and scored four goals in 13 competitive appearances for TSG.

The contract with Verona will run to June 2029, if the option to buy is activated at the end of this season.

It has been a busy day for Verona, who already announced the signing of German defender Bella-Kotchap on loan with an option to buy for a total €7.5m from Southampton.
