Hellas Verona have reportedly agreed personal terms with free agent Giovane after he left Corinthians, while purchasing Amin Sarr outright from Olympique Lyonnais.
According to transfer pundit Matteo Moretto, Giovane has given the all-clear to joining Hellas and will be flying in over the next few days for medical tests.
Full name Giovane Santana do Nascimento, the 21-year-old centre-forward is a product of the Corinthians youth academy and allowed his contract to run down.
He had been effectively frozen out since October 2024 for refusing to discuss a new deal, making only a handful of appearances.
Meanwhile, Verona also consolidated their attack by activating the purchase option for Sarr after his season-long loan.
Including the loan fee and €1.5m in potential add-ons, the striker cost a total of €5m.
He scored four goals and provided one assist in 32 games for Verona last season, helping them to secure their Serie A status.
