Victor Osimhen has once again emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United.

This is ahead of what could be another busy summer window at Old Trafford.

The Nigerian striker has been linked with United on multiple occasions over the past two years.

His name is now back in the headlines following fresh reports from Spain.

Last summer, the Red Devils were heavily linked with a move for Osimhen as the club searched for a new centre-forward.

However, the striker ultimately turned down a proposal from United.

Not long later, he completed a permanent transfer to Galatasaray following his successful loan spell with the Turkish side during the 2024/25 season.

Despite that decision, speculation surrounding his future has not disappeared.

According to Diario AS, Victor Osimhen remains a priority target for United and is attracting renewed interest ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window.

The report claims Atletico Madrid have also made enquiries about the striker.

They are assessing potential replacements should Julian Alvarez depart.

Osimhen has continued to impress since arriving permanently in Turkey.

The 27-year-old enjoyed another productive campaign during the 2025/26 season, scoring 22 goals and proving six assists in 33 appearances.

He remained one of Galatasaray’s standout performers as they successfully defended their Turkish Super Lig title.

Manchester United’s striker situation has changed significantly since last summer.

The club completed the signing of Benjamin Sesko ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The Slovenian scored 12 goals in 32 appearances during his first season at Old Trafford.

Even so, reports continue to link United with additional attacking reinforcements.

Diario AS states that Osimhen is being monitored by several leading European clubs.

However, any deal would likely prove difficult given his importance to Galatasaray and the financial commitment required.

For now, there is no indication that Manchester United are preparing a formal bid.

However, with Osimhen continuing to deliver goals at a high level and interest growing again, his future could become one of the major transfer stories of the summer.
