Italy international Riccardo Calafiori reveals the moment he wanted to join Arsenal, having sat in the stands to watch their Premier League game in January.

The Azzurri defender completed his transfer from Bologna for €45m plus another €5m in various add-ons and performance-related bonuses.

The 22-year-old flew out to the United States of America, where his new teammates are playing pre-season friendly matches, and made a remarkable confession.

It turns out the Italian went to see Arsenal play Crystal Palace in the Premier League back in January 2024, when he had a few days off from Serie A commitments and paid a visit to London.

That performance evidently impressed him, as the Gunners won 5-0.
