Video: Gasperini gift to Atalanta fans at Anfield

Gian Piero Gasperini gave a special gift to the travelling Atalanta fans at Anfield, throwing his jacket to them after the 3-0 Europa League quarter-final win over Liverpool.

Over 2,000 supporters made the journey to Merseyside for the match on Thursday evening, but even they probably didn’t expect such an extraordinary result and performance from La Dea.

Gianluca Scamacca scored twice before Mario Pasalic turned in the rebound from a parried Ederson effort to complete the 3-0 rout.

It is only the first leg and the decider will be in Bergamo next Thursday, but during the celebrations, Gasperini threw his jacket into the away end of the crowd to give someone a piece of Calcio history.
