Villarreal are in great form at the moment, having won seven of their last 10 matches across all competitions. They have European qualification in their sights, but even if Marcelino Garcia Toral’s side cannot get the better of Real Betis, Valencia and co, they will be aiming to take this momentum into next season.

A good transfer window would set them on their way, and after securing the pre-contract signing of Marseille’s Pape Gueye, Villarreal are now tracking a new winger. According to Kicker (via Marca), they are interested in Werder Bremen’s Justin Njinmah, who has had a fine season in the Bundesliga.

Njinmah can play on the right wing, and also as a striker if required. It is a position that Villarreal will be keen to strengthen, although they will face competition for the 23-year-old’s signature from Everton and Wolves.

Njinmah could end up replacing Bertrand Traore in Villarreal’s squad for next season, with the ex-Aston Villa player out of contract in the summer. A decision has yet to be made on whether he is to be offered an extension.
