Dusan Vlahovic is expected to miss out on Juventus’s next Serie A match at home against Monza on Sunday after being withdrawn at half-time of Wednesday’s 1-0 loss away against Parma with a thigh injury.
Vlahovic, who has played as a starter in every game since Igor Tudor took over from Thiago Motta in March, did not reappear for the start of the second half during Juve’s surprise loss against Parma, and was replaced by Francisco Conceicao, with Randal Kolo Muani moving into the centre-forward position.
Upon his return to Turin, the Serbia international reported for medical tests at JMedical on Thursday morning.
According to updates from Sky Sport Italia, the tests have revealed an overload to the rectus femoris muscle in Vlahovic’s right thigh, which means that he will be unavailable for the upcoming game against Monza on Sunday.
He will be evaluated on a day-by-day basis and is expected to be in contention to feature in the crucial away match against Bologna on Sunday, May 4.
