Real Madrid made a grand late attempt to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe on a permanent transfer deal over the recent summer transfer window. The La Liga side made two offers to PSG for Mbappe, but the French powerhouse would not budge and agree to such a deal.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti did not come away from the transfer window displeased with his club’s inability to sign the forward, which he recently spoke further about.

“No, I am not disappointed, but it is clear that (Kylian) Mbappé is a great player, he has stayed at PSG, we wish him good luck,” Ancelotti said. “We think about our squad, about our players, because we have a very strong squad. A squad that can do a lot this year.”

This transfer saga may not be over with just yet.
