
Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal continues to cement himself as one of the best players in the world, even though he's just 17.
On Wednesday, FC Barcelona faced Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. In the 77th minute of the match, Yamal netted a goal off a left-footed shot from the center of the box to the bottom left corner, giving Barcelona a 4-0 lead.

According to ESPN FC, Yamal is the first player in Champions League history to score multiple knockout stage goals before turning 18. He scored his first goal in a 3-1 win over Benfica in the first leg of the Round of 16 on March 11.

Barcelona won the match 4-0. It will face Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of the quarterfinals on Tuesday at 3 p.m. ET. Whichever team wins the aggregate (the total number of goals scored by each team across both legs) will advance to the semifinals.
Barcelona is aiming to win the Champions League for the first time since the 2014-15 season. Expect it to keep leaning on its phenom for the rest of the tournament.
Through his first 42 matches across all competitions this season, the 5-foot-11, 159-pounder scored 13 goals and logged 17 assists.
