The Saudi Super Cup semifinal between Al Nassr and Al Ittihad has garnered great attention due to Cristiano Ronaldo's animated reaction to Sadio Mané's red card.
Al Nassr started quickly in the game, with a goal from Sadio Mané in the 10th minute. However, Al Ittihad was able to shift the momentum early and scored at the 16th minute with a goal from Bergwijn, and a few minutes later played at 11 against 10.
Sadio Mané was given a straight red card in the 25th minute for a foul on Al Ittihad's goalkeeper. The decision was confirmed following review by the VAR and Al Nassr would finish the first half with 10 players.

Cristiano Ronaldo was furious at the referee's decision. In a video shared on Al Nassr's official X (formerly Twitter) account, he can be seen wildly gesturing and yelling. This shows Ronaldo's passion and leadership on the field.
In another clip recorded a few moments later by a fan, he is still visibly animated and has still not calmed down.

Interestingly enough, Al Nassr has now received a red card in each of their last three Super Cup editions: Ronaldo in 2023, Brozović in 2024 and Sadio Mané in 2025.
While Al Nassr took a blow, they were able to stay ahead and go to half-time tied 1-1. The second half is set up to be an exciting finish to this match.
