Lionel Messi decided that after FC Barcelona could not keep him due to the salary cap, the next chapter in his career would be at Paris Saint-Germain. 

It’s taken some time, but it seems as though the 34-year-old is bonding with his new teammates. One of them, Idrissa Gueye, spoke to Canal Plus, where he discussed the arrival of Messi to the capital club squad. 

Gueye mentioned the type of person the Argentine forward is since becoming his teammate this season. 

“We were all surprised but above all very happy to see this phenomenon in our team. For us, it was just unthinkable and exceptional that he left FC Barcelona to join our team,” Gueye said.

“At first, you tell yourself who he is, but he’s a human being. He is super humble, hardworking. Everything he has had throughout his career he deserves.”
