Watch: ‘Make the Team Weaker’ – Michael Owen Discusses Whether the Attack of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappé Can Work

The trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Kylian Mbappé took the pitch for the first time together against Club Brugge. Unfortunately, the anticipated debut of this new Paris Saint-Germain came off as three guys who have yet to play together and need time to gel. 

Furthermore, the attack only lasted 51 minutes as Mbappé would have to depart the match following an injury. Nonetheless, discussions as to whether these three will be able to co-exist have begun, and BT Sport (via Top Mercato) pundit Michael Owen provided his thoughts since he was part of the Galácticos era at Real Madrid. 

“They are all phenomenal players. But these three together make the team weaker, in my opinion. I do not really understand why PSG are one of the favorites to win the Champions League,” Owen said.
