Watch: What Rasmus Hojlund did immediately after winning FA Cup will warm United fans’ hearts

Rasmus Hojlund has concluded his maiden season in England as an FA Cup winner with Manchester United.

The 21-year-old wasn’t deployed from the offset in the final but came on for the closing 25 minutes of the tie to see out the lead.

He proved integral in such a short space of time, too, with his hold-up play and decision-making ensuring Manchester City were unable to add to Jeremy Doku’s late goal and therefore, resulting in United being crowned champions.

There’s no doubt that it’s been a tumultuous season for Hojlund to navigate. Being thrown into the spotlight as United’s primary centre-forward at just 20 years old, waiting 15 matches before opening his Premier League account and enduring fluctuating form amidst the odd injury setback will have certainly taken its toll.

With that in mind, it’s no wonder why he was reduced to tears after Andy Madley blew the full-time whistle at Wembley. The self-proclaimed boyhood Red went over to United’s end of the stadium and took it all in, letting his emotions flow in front of thousands of adoring supporters.
