Juventus and Marseille continued negotiations for Timothy Weah last night, and the USMNT international is close to joining the French club after rejecting a move to Nottingham Forest.
American winger Weah is close to joining Ligue 1 side Marseille, coached by the Italian Roberto De Zerbi.
Sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me that negotiations between the Bianconeri and Marseille continued on Saturday night.
The two clubs are close to reaching an agreement.
Juventus requested a fee exceeding €15m, including add-ons. The two clubs are now in talks over the deal structure, which could be a loan with an option to buy, potentially becoming an obligation to purchase if certain conditions are met.
The Italian and French clubs are expected to finalise the details in the coming hours and complete the 25-year-old’s transfer.
Weah is open to joining Marseille after rejecting a move to Nottingham Forest in June.
