With Dan Ndoye flying out for his Nottingham Forest medical, Bologna need a replacement and are looking towards Al-Nassr youngster Wesley Gassova.
Multiple reports today confirmed that Nottingham Forest had agreed terms with Bologna for Ndoye, believed to be at least €40m plus add-ons and a 20 per cent cut of the future sell-on fee.
The player is expected to undergo a medical in England on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.
That means Bologna must find an heir and the name mentioned by Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio is Wesley.
This is obviously not the same player that Roma just signed from Flamengo, but rather 20-year-old Wesley Gassova of Al-Nassr.
The versatile Brazil Under-20 international moved from Corinthians to the Saudi Pro League in August 2024 at a cost of €18m.
He scored one goal with three assists in 22 competitive games for Al-Nassr.
There had already been interest some weeks ago, but he is back on the radar now that Ndoye really is on his way out.
Another alternative mentioned by Sky Sport Italia is Sturm Graz winger William Boving.
