West Ham's David Moyes, two others test positive for COVID-19

Shortly after West Ham United kicked off Tuesday's Carabao Cup match versus Hull City, the club confirmed that manager David Moyes, defender Issa Diop and midfielder Josh Cullen tested positive for COVID-19 and were sent home from London Stadium before the fixture.

All three are asymptomatic and have followed health and safety protocols, per West Ham. Assistant manager Alan Irvine guided the squad into Tuesday's knockout contest.

Additionally, West Ham explained that the club offered COVID-19 testing to Hull, but the League One side declined.

A separate Tuesday Carabao Cup tie between Tottenham Hotspur and Leyton Orient was postponed after Orient discovered a coronavirus outbreak within the club. As of Tuesday afternoon ET, neither the English Football League Championship nor the teams involved had officially confirmed if Orient will be forced to forfeit due to rescheduling difficulties caused by Tottenham's loaded domestic and European calendar.
