Real Madrid is struggling with internal conflict just days before their crucial match against Barcelona on May 10. Following a season without any trophies, the atmosphere at the club has become increasingly tense.

While reports have already surfaced regarding frustration around Kylian Mbappé and a separate incident where Antonio Rüdiger allegedly struck teammate Álvaro Carreras, a new physical altercation has now caused more controversy around the squad.

The latest incident involved midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni. Tensions between the two reportedly began on Wednesday and boiled over during Thursday’s training session.

Everything we Know so Far about Valverde and Tchouameni's Clash

According to reports, Valverde refused to acknowledge Tchouaméni before practice, leading to a session filled with aggressive tackles.

The situation eventually turned physical in the dressing room, with Tchouaméni allegedly reacting to accusations that he had leaked team secrets to the press.

The confrontation was severe enough that Valverde had to be taken to the hospital to receive stitches for a facial cut. He was also seen leaving in a wheelchair after experiencing a bout of dizziness.

In response to the chaos, several players reportedly asked coach Álvaro Arbeloa to cancel Friday’s training to allow emotions to settle, but the request was denied.

Club president Florentino Pérez is expected to take disciplinary action against both players, which could include heavy fines and suspensions.

With only a few games left in the season, there is a real possibility that neither player will appear on the pitch again this year, leaving the team’s lineup in doubt for the upcoming Clásico.

Recent reports from ESPN highlight even more friction within the squad after Antonio Rüdiger lost his temper during a training session at Valdebebas.

While the network didn’t initially name the other player involved in the heated exchange, Álvaro Carreras later released a statement confirming that he was the teammate who had the run-in with the defender.

Beyond the issues between players, the coaching staff is also facing internal pressure. ESPN noted several arguments over the last few weeks involving manager Álvaro Arbeloa and his squad. These disagreements reportedly included clashes with Dani Ceballos and Raúl Asencio, suggesting that the tension at the club is reaching every level of the team.
