The 31st season of Major League Soccer begins on Saturday with an exciting schedule of matches to open the 2026 campaign.

St. Louis City SC and Charlotte FC will duel at Energizer Park to raise the curtain on the new season.

Lionel Messi and defending MLS Cup champions Inter Miami will be in action against Son Heung-min in the premiere of Saturday Showdown at 9:30 p.m. ET. The match will take place at a historic venue in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Two matches are scheduled for Sunday. The Los Angeles Galaxy and New York City FC will lock horns in the return of Sunday Night Soccer.

Sunday's meeting between NYCFC and the Galaxy will be broadcast with enhanced production, dedicated in-stadium pre-game and post-game shows and tailored graphics in English and Spanish to bring viewers closer to the action.
