Juventus are finalising the appointment of Igor Tudor as their new head coach, with the club ready to part ways with Thiago Motta as soon as an agreement is reached with the Croatian manager.

The Bianconeri have been considering a managerial change in recent weeks following two consecutive heavy defeats in Serie A to Atalanta and Fiorentina. These disappointing results have prompted Juventus to reassess their options and seek a new direction.

While initial reports this week suggested Roberto Mancini as a strong candidate for the job, Juventus have made significant progress in talks with their former player, who is now without a job since leaving Lazio at the end of last season.

Juventus set to sack Motta and appoint Tudor as new head coach

According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto, Tudor is now on the verge of signing with the club and is expected to travel to Turin soon.

The Serie A giants hope to complete all necessary paperwork by Monday to make Tudor’s appointment official, while simultaneously informing Motta of his dismissal.

As previously reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Tudor is open to signing a contract for the remainder of the season, without demanding an option for an automatic renewal beyond the summer based on certain achievements. This flexibility appears to have given him the edge in securing the job over other candidates.
