Lazio are heading to the clash against Inter Milan in the penultimate round of the season without Luca Pellegrini and club captain Mattia Zaccagni. The Italian duo picked up yellow cards during the 1-1 draw against Juventus, thus earning themselves a one-match ban. Therefore, Marco Baroni must find solutions on the left flank.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Lazio boss has already made up his mind in attack, resorting to Pedro’s services. The versatile veteran is thus expected to start as a left winger in Zaccagni’s stead. Boulaye Dia is also tipped to regain his starting spot at the expense of Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, while Gustav Isaksen and Taty Castellanos will maintain their spots.

On the other hand, the situation at left-back is less certain at this point. Elseid Hysaj is back after serving a ban , so he could get the nod on Sunday. The alternative solution would be shifting Adam Marusic to the left flank, and giving the nod to Manuel Lazzari on the right following his impressive cameo against Juventus. Meanwhile, Nuno Tavares is unlikely to be fit enough to start.

Elsewhere, Matteo Guendouzi and Nicolo Rovella are expected to retain their starting berths in the middle of the park despite their waning physical conditions. Hence, Matias Vecino should once again start the outing on the bench despite emerging as the last-gasp hero last weekend.

Lazio have taken advantage of Roma’s defeat to Atalanta to climb to 5th place. They are level on points with 4th-placed Juventus, but the Bianconeri have the advantage thanks to a superior head-to-head. Therefore, Baroni’s must try their best to gain maximum points against Inter and Lecce in the last two rounds and hope that the Old Lady slips against Udinese and Venezia.
