Chelsea against Tottenham is already on the horizon as one of the tastiest fixtures in this early start of the season, but this time there’s a funny twist on the whole thing.

The clubs are trying to make it a “net carbon zero” game, the first in Premier League history.

They report that fans of both clubs have been asked to choose from the vegan food options on offer at the stadium this week, given that meat consumption is a major carbon dioxide emission issue.

We’re not sure how many will be opting for the Linda McCartney’s over the greasy burgers – but you’ve got to start somewhere.

Watching at home, we will be tucking into a green salad, just to do our bit.
