FC Barcelona fans noticed the absence of Hansi Flick on the touchline. The German coach led Barcelona to a La Liga title, the Copa Del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup last season over Real Madrid.
For El Clásico today, Flick was not on the touchline and appeared in a box at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The man in charge is Flick's assistant coach, Marcus Sorg. Flick appeared on the broadcast when Barcelona scored the equalizer against Real Madrid in the first half.

Flick is currently suspended from the touchline due to the German manager receiving a red card in Barcelona's last La Liga game. Flick received a red card in the Barcelona vs Girona match last weekend.
Flick was seen furious with his players and the referee in the match against Girona last week. Barcelona were drawing 1-1 against Girona, and in the 91st minute, Flick made a hand gesture that the referee interpreted to be disrespectful towards him.
Flick insisted that he was trying to talk to his players instead of the referee, but the official still sent him off, and the red card officially suspended him for El Clásico today.
Barcelona went on to win the match last weekend against Girona at home. Flick was captured at a box at the Santiago Bernabeu before and during the match.
