Why is Raphinha Not Playing Tonight for Barcelona vs Albacete in Copa Del Rey?

FC Barcelona will play in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals against Albacete tonight at the Estadio Carlos Belmonte in Albacete, Spain.

Barcelona reached this stage after beating Racing Santander 2-0 in the Round of 16 of the Copa Del Rey last month. Over the weekend, Barcelona defeated Elche 3-1 in La Liga, but received bad news after the game.

FC Barcelona forward Raphinah was taken off at halftime due to an injury, and he is not included in the team's squad list for the match today against Albacete.

The club confirmed Raphinha's injury to an overload in the adductor muscle of his right leg, which is the reason why he is ruled out for the match today against Albacete. Yesterday, Raphinha missed Barcelona's final training session ahead of the Albacete match.

How Many Barcelona Games will Raphinha Miss?

According to FC Barcelona's statement, Raphinha's recovery period is set for one full week and is expected to miss the next three games.

Raphinha will not play against Albacete today and won't play against Mallorca in La Liga this weekend. Barcelona will play against Girona next Monday in La Liga.

Raphinha is expected to be fully ready for Barcelona's La Liga match against Levante at home on February 22, 2026.
