England will take on Wales today in a friendly match to be played at Wembley Stadium. England head coach Thomas Tuchel will use this friendly to prepare for their only World Cup qualifier match of the October international break.

England only has three World Cup qualifying matches left and could be close to qualifying for the 2026 World Cup with a win over Latvia on Tuesday.

While many of the top stars of England are called up for the friendly against Wales and the World Cup qualifier against Latvia, Jude Bellingham was not part of the squad roster for this international break.

Bellingham will not be playing for England tonight vs Wales at Wembley Stadium, but the midfielder is not injured. Bellingham appeared in a training session with Real Madrid yesterday and played in a friendly match.

Bellingham played in a friendly match with the Real Madrid first team against Real Madrid Castilla, where he scored. Real Madrid's first team won 2-1, and the other goalscorer was Endrick.

Thomas Tuchel on Jude Bellingham's absence

As mentioned before, Bellingham was not part of England's roster for the October matches. The roster list was announced last week, and many were surprised to see Bellingham not being included in the list.

Tuchel was asked about Jude Bellingham's absence from the matches in October despite the midfielder being fit and back from injury.

Thomas Tuchel said, "He deserves always to be in camp... The situation [is] that he has not fully gathered rhythm yet at Real Madrid. He is back in the team. He hasn't finished one full match until now. He has only started one match. So he is, at the moment, in the period where he gets his rhythm, where he gets back to full strength."

Tuchel reveals that Bellingham wanted to be called up for the England matches in October, but the head coach of England decided to let the midfielder build rhythm.

Tuhcel said, "He wanted to be called up. We had a phone call. There was no issue from that side. He just lacks rhythm. He hasn't finished one complete match. We stayed to our decision to go with the same squad [from September]."
