Everyone and his dog has added their voice to our woes, and now our glorious leader has gone all in on the Thomas Frank out debate.
Many fans are Frank Out based upon poor formations, bad substutions, the lot. For me Frank is surely suppost to get our players doing the basics well, and it is down to him that they are failing to demonstrate the basics and that isn’t acceptable.
His managerial record at Tottenham across all competitions stands at 12 wins, 8 draws, and 12 losses from 32 matches (updated following the recent FA Cup defeat to Aston Villa on January 10, 2026, which was his 31st or 32nd game depending on the exact count across sources). This gives him an approximate win rate of 37.5% (12 wins out of 32).
Earlier reports from around January 7-10, 2026, cited figures like 11 wins, 9 draws, 10 losses from 30 games (win rate ~36.67%), showing the slight variance as results have continued to come in. The BoyHotspur says:
I’ve chosen my words carefully. Frank has to be sacked to well and truly put the ball back in ENIC’s court.
As Don Logan said on the plane, that he never left Spain on, ‘“It’s your move.”
Frank is not my wannabe lover; he’s not my enemy. Sadly, he’s simply irrelevant to our cause because, like all too many Tottenham coaches, he’s a racehorse that the handicapper has got to.
Striving away, with all the blow-in punters bemoaning the jockey, the horse, the ground, the who-knows-what, but the truth is known only by the well-seasoned gamblers who understand that with all that led in his saddle bags, he’s lucky to be doing the lick that he is.
I am only dismissive of Frank’s critics because they are incredibly weak-minded and presume the rest of us are too.
Tony Conte and Jose Mourinho are thoroughbreds, and if only they could have beaten the ENIC handicapper. A former Brentford manager with no Harry Kane and no Son Heung-min? Do me a favour.
So there you have it. It’s not the man, it’s the regime.
If you don’t respect history, then you are destined to repeat its bad bits.
A cynical person might even call you stupid.
Sack Frank, be my guest, but for the love of Christ, don’t tell me that the next bloke saddled with these deadbeats, and the abysmal little men that recruited them, will do any better.
That doesn’t make any sense.
