Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has a big decision to make very soon, a decision in one of the most important positions on the pitch – in goal.
Robert Sanchez was signed as Chelsea’s number one goalkeeper from Brighton in the summer and he was the main man in the sticks.
That was until he got injured recently and Chelsea’s backup stopper Djordje Petrovic has come in and played the last 10 games whilst Sanchez has been out recovering.
However, Sanchez will soon be back, according to journalist Ben Jacobs speaking in his latest exclusive and extensive Chelsea column for SPTC today.

This will present Pochettino with a big decision to make, and he will need to make that very soon.
Jacobs believes it is Petrovic who will keep his spot and get the nod, at least for the League Cup final against Liverpool that is coming up very soon now.
He said: “Robert Sanchez was signed as Chelsea’s No1, but Petrovic is going to be hard to keep out of the side on this form. Sanchez isn’t far off a return from an ankle injury and even if he is restored to the starting XI when fit, I expect Petrovic will get the nod for the League Cup Final given his heroics against Newcastle, and the fact he played both semi-final legs.”
