Top Rank have recently announced that WBO lightweight world champion Denys Berinchyk will defend his title against unbeaten American Keyshawn Davis on February 14. One more bout has been added to the undercard with Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson (17-1, 15 KOs) returning to action against Greek-born heavyweight Marios Kollias (12-3-1, 10 KOs). The entire Top Rank promoted card will be shown live on ESPN+ from The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Anderson suffered his first professional defeat in his career against Martin Bakole on August 3, 2024. It was a clear step up in quality for the American and since that defeat, Bob Arum has revealed Top Rank were against the fight: “We were against that fight. Again, when they wave money at these kids, they insist on taking it. We could have gone to court to prevent it, but we don’t do those kind ofthings. We let the fight go ahead. We made our money from the fight but we let that fight go ahead and it was the stupidest fight Jared could have taken,” said Arum.
Top Rank Chairman Arum has given his backing to Anderson returning with a vengeance in 2025: “I still believe Jared Anderson is one of the most formidable heavyweights in the world, and I expect him to return with a vengeance this year,” said Arum. He added:“What a night of fights we have in store for fans at the MSG Theater.”
