William Saliba has made it clear that he is determined to help Arsenal win silverware this season.

The centre-back, who has supported the Gunners since he was a boy, got his dream move to north London in 2019.

It took three years before he finally broke into the first team. But since then, he has become a fixture in an Arsenal side who have been pushing for the title every year.

Still, they have yet to turn that effort into any major trophies and the defender says he has had enough of ending every campaign empty-handed.

Arsenal have finished runners-up in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons.

The Gunners also made it to the semi-finals of both the Champions League and the Carabao Cup last term, showing progress but still falling short of silverware.

There is an argument that they were good enough to win at least one major trophy during that span, but it simply has not happened.

Now, Saliba has admitted he is fed up with finishing each season without major trophies and is determined for things to change soon.

Speaking to CBS Sports after Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Chelsea, the Frenchman stated: “We want to win everything. I am tired of finishing the season without anything in my pocket.”

“Now we have four competitions to win. My pocket was empty last year.

“Now we want to win everything – Carabao Cup, FA Cup, Champions League and the Premier League.

“Of course, it is not easy. It’s easy to say it. But we want to prove it on the pitch, and we will give everything to win every title.”

Arsenal are on the brink of ending William Saliba’s wait for silverware

Saliba’s frustrations are easy to relate to, and he is not the only one growing tired of coming up short every year.

If Arsenal were struggling like Tottenham, it might not sting as much. But considering how good they have been over the last three years, it is hard to believe they have not managed to get over the line yet.

Things might finally be changing in 2026.

The Gunners are top of the Premier League with a six-point lead, sitting first in the Champions League league phase, and just one step away from the Carabao Cup final.

While an unprecedented quadruple is still a long shot, even winning just one major trophy would go a long way in making up for past near-misses – and that includes making sure fans are happy too.
