Wolverhampton Wanderers have “now approached” Liverpool for 18-year-old winger Kieran Morrison, according to Fabrizio Romano. The “highly rated talent” is also attracting attention from several European clubs.
Morrison joined Liverpool’s academy at the U14 level after starting his youth career with Manchester United. He signed his first professional contract with the Reds in 2024. Primarily a left-footed right winger, Morrison can also play as a central attacking midfielder. His playing style has drawn comparisons with Curtis Jones, showcasing creativity, dribbling, prowess and an eye for goal.
This season, Morrison has made 19 appearances for Liverpool U21, scoring three goals and chipping in with four assists, three of which were against the Wolves U21 side. His performances earned him a nomination for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for November.
Morrison was included in Liverpool’s matchday squad for their Champions League fixture against PSV Eindhoven in January 2025, although he did not feature on the pitch. Internationally, he has represented Northern Ireland at U17 and U19 levels.
Wolves’ interest in Morrison aligns with their strategy of nurturing young talent. A move to Molineux could offer Morrison increased first-team opportunities, facilitating his development beyond academy football. Liverpool, known to allow promising players to seek growth elsewhere when necessary, may consider a transfer beneficial for all parties.
As Morrison continues to attract attention across Europe, his next career move will be pivotal in shaping the trajectory of his football career.
