Wolverhampton Wanderers will host AFC Bournemouth at Molineux Stadium in a crucial Premier League match today. Both sides will be eyeing points to boost their league positions, with Wolves hoping to climb out of the relegation zone and Bournemouth aiming to maintain mid-table stability.
In yesterday’s press conference, Rob Edwards reported that Ladislav Krejčí might be out and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has returned to the squad:
“Krejčí has been struggling with flu and is a slight doubt. Bellegarde is available for us, which is a plus.” Edwards also had this to say regarding Rodrigo Gomes since his return to fitness:
“He’s a brilliant human being. A ball of energy and a really good footballer. He can play in a number of different positions and gives us another string to our bow.”
Bournemouth arrive in Wolverhampton looking for a positive result after a mixed run of form in recent weeks. They have benefited from recent transfer business, bringing in young winger Rayan as a potential attacking option, though it’s not yet clear whether he’ll be involved on Saturday. Andoni Iraola said at the press conference:
“He will need some time to adapt, but I think he comes ready to help us straight away. He has been playing as a number nine, but we see more outside, he could help us on the left and up front.”
Bournemouth also signed Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas on loan. Tyler Adams, David Brooks, and Marcus Tavernier are all unavailable due to injury
