The numbers show that the form of Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram has come to a screeching halt in 2025.
This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Marcus Thuram got off to a blazing start to the season for Inter Milan.
Over the first half of the campaign, the Frenchman was the Nerazzurri’s top scorer.
However, since the turn of the year, Thuram’s form has tailed off significantly.
As the Corriere dello Sport note, Marcus Thuram has scored a total of three goals in eight matches in the Champions League since January.
That’s not a terrible return. But nor is it close to the kind of numbers Thuram had in the first half of the season.
However, it has been in Serie A where Thuram’s form has really nosedived.
The 27-year-old has played in fifteen league matches in 2025. And he has scored a grand total of two goals in the period.
There are a few explanations for Thuram’s form. And fitness certainly cannot be overlooked as a factor.
Thuram suffered an ankle injury in February. Aside from missing a few matches with that problem, even when the Frenchman played, he looked physically off.
Then, after Inter’s Champions League tie against Bayern Munich last month Thuram suffered some muscular fatigue.
The intensity of the fixture list appears to have taken a toll on Thuram’s form.
