After Tim Weah and Samuel Mbangula turned down a move to Nottingham Forest in favor of staying in Serie A, the Premier League club shifted focus to AC Milan’s Yunus Musah.
According to Fabrizio Romano, U.S. international Tim Weah rejected a transfer to Forest despite the club reaching a €22 million (about $25.7 million) package deal with Juventus for both Weah and winger Samuel Mbangula.
Juventus coach Igor Tudor confirmed Mbangula was left out of the squad against Manchester City due to transfer talks—suggesting a move was close. But like Weah, Mbangula and his agent were not sold on the Forest project.
Weah's agent, Badou Sambague, said in an Interview for Calciomercato that the deal with Forest was a shame.
“Tim is a fantastic player and a fantastic teammate. Seeing people behave like this for money and selfishness has disappointed me a lot, it’s a shame. No one can push one of the players I represent to move from one side or another like a puppet. I’m happy that Timo has excellent preparation and a personality that allows him to stay focused on the game.” - said Sambague
Forest has opened talks with Milan regarding a potential deal for Yunus Musah. Napoli are also reportedly interested, but Milan are holding out for at least €25 million ($29.7 million) for the U.S. midfielder.
Napoli's interest has cooled in recent days, but other clubs could still join the race for Musah, who is expected to leave Milan this summer. According to Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, the midfielder has been offered to two unnamed Serie A clubs.

Forest came close to a fairy tale finish last season, nearly qualifying for the Champions League. However, they slipped down two spots late in the campaign and will instead compete in the 2025/26 UEFA Conference League.
The club is also nearing a deal with Botafogo striker Iggor Jesus, who is expected to join after the Club World Cup.
Meanwhile, Porto winger Pepê is attracting interest from multiple Premier League sides. According to ESPN, talks are already underway with four clubs: Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Fulham, and newly promoted Burnley.
Beyond Pepê, Forest is also interested in another Brazilian winger, Pepeu, from Fenerbahçe.
