Il Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni admits he's spoken to Max Allegri since his sacking by Juventus.

Allegri was axed last week after clashing with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and Tuttosport editor Guido Vaciago as they celebrated winning the Coppa Italia final.

Zazzaroni told Italia 1: "With Vaciago he clearly made a mistake. I spoke to him the next day and he was truly sorry. I spoke to him at 8 in the morning and he told me 'I was ashamed'.

"He actually went too far. I don't know, you have to trust that what Vaciago said even if there is an Allegri version, but he was wrong and he knows it perfectly. It is no coincidence that he went to the Tuttosport editorial office and apologised. I expected these reactions knowing what he had accumulated these months were very tough, these three years were very difficult.

"When he stripped he did it in a strategic way, I'm sure he had to stop the match bare, but it's clear that it's not a good scene. This is naive, he won the European Cup, he didn't win the Italian Cup for all that he suffered, it's true that they earn a lot, but it does not protect you from these things. He is instinctive, if he avoided these things he would emerge as a world champion."
