One of America's biggest sports betting sites, BetMGM, is now offering players in 19 states one of two available welcome promotions: either a fractional deposit match or a bet insurance offer.

You can sign up with the BetMGM bonus code YBNEWS1600 to unlock a 20 percent deposit match with a $1.6K cap. Otherwise, you can use the BetMGM bonus code YARDNEWS to claim a $1,500 bet insurance offer.

With the first promo, you'd have to put in $8,000 in cash to max out. Addtionally this offer has a 10x wager requirement within the first 30 days.

That second offer is more direct, as you'll get the value of your first cash stake of the day credited to your account as bonus bets only if your first bet loses, up to $1.5K.

Betting with the BetMGM bonus codes

If you claim the deposit match offer, you'll have a play-through requirement to meet. While the bet insurance promo doesn't have a play-through requirement, you only earn bonus bets if you lose.

Each offer has more distinct uses.

The bet insurance offer is more suited for a player looking to take a shot on an underdog. If you win, the payouts can be substantial and if you lose, you'll recover the value of your cash stake as bonus bets. While not actual money, the bonus bets can be used for additional wagers.

Based on the play-through requirement with the deposit match promotion, it behooves you to play it safer with a more reasonable stake. If you put in $100 in cash, you'll get $20 in sports bonuses. Thus, you'd need to bet $200 over your next 30 days. Far more viable than say a $400 cash stake.
